What is The Andrew?
THE ANDREW is about hard work, determination and “out-of-the-box” thinking. It is awarded annually to a society member or volunteer who has demonstrated these qualities. The award will be presented annually at The Robert Gordon University's Scarlet and Gold Awards ceremony. Although only one person can receive the award each year, there is no limit on the number of people that can be nominated.

This year's awards ceremony is on the 25th April in Aberdeen. More information on the ceremony can be found on the RGU: UNION website at rguunion.co.uk/societies/awards

Nominations for this year's Andrew Award are in and the award will be presented later this month. Please check back after the 25th to find out who has been awarded the honour of The Andrew.

The History of The Andrew?
"Following the Scarlet and Gold Awards 2007, at which we received numerous awards, it was joked that we should rename the award ceremony 'The Andrews'. Two days later when we stopped laughing, we considered the suggestion more carefully and decided that sponsoring a single award in this way would recognise students who are similar to ourselves whilst leaving a memento of our time and dedication." -- Andrew and Andrew
